The House

Fire wall
the cellar carries coolness
beneath the wine

Beams in the dark
dust hangs lower
than light

Courtyard behind glass
a step grows softer
on damp stone

Wing at an angle
side light
rubs against plaster

Cross building in shadow
breath on the wall
between the rooms

Stone threshold
black gathers
in the joint
