Shadow against Shadow

Fire wall
shadow against shadow
on cold stone

Beamed cellar
Coolness in the wood
under the steps

Side wing
side light
in dust

Courtyard wall
Water in moss
at the base

Threshold
smooth stone
from footsteps

Inner courtyard
Voices sink
into the joint
