Inkblot

Ink at the edge
Pressure lies dark
in the fibres

Blot on the sheet
a mouth emerges
at the dark edge

Pen in ink
Black gathers light
under the nib

Paper in tension
a line stalls
at the fibre

Hand over white
Depth pulls
in the blot

Ink dries
at the margin
narrow sheen
