Ink, Paper, City

Paper on stone
the joint draws along
under the hand

Ink in the slope
at the edge
black gathers

Fibres in light
the sheet holds dust
grey margin at the edge

Sheet against brick
white grows rougher
in reflected light

Nib scratches
cobblestone becomes line
in the paper

Stain in the paper
in one place
Lübeck darkens further
