Glass Keeps Distance

Wall in morning light
bright dust
under the picture

Frame to frame
narrow sheen
at the edge of the line

Gaze before paper
glass between
in the light

Image edge
narrow shadow
on the wall

White surface
a dark spot
behind glass

Between pictures
quiet voices
along the edge
